Learn to Fly!
Several members are FAA certified glider instructors. Some also fly professionally outside of soaring and also teach in multiple flying disciplines. Active students work with member instructors to tailor a program of guided study and instruction to best fit THEIR needs. As a member, Cleveland Soaring can take you from start to finish and several of our current members have done exactly that!
As a member, each student is responsible for membership dues and individual towing fees.
Membership Tow Fee Schedule
RB $15 (Low altitude training release and immediate return to the airport)
1000’ $20
2000’ $30
3000’ $40
4000’ $50

Unlike many clubs and commercial flight schools, Cleveland Soaring does not charge a rental fee by the hour for glider use. As a member the use of the glider for your training is free!
Each instructor charges individually for his or her time. In general, low altitude training release flights with immediate returns to the airport are $15 and lessons of standard duration are $25. Instruction fees are generally paid directly to the instructor after each flight by cash or personal check.
Tow fees are paid after the completion of the days flying.
